Just received an email from Littlewoods regarding the Littlewoods Direct change of name. Came here to see if you had listed the new "Very" site and ended up buying a microwave :). Will let you know haw it all goes but liked what I saw of the new site so far.

Ordered on line and given 3 day delivery; received email quoting 14 day delivery; rang special order department to confirm and was told it would be 4 weeks and would have to order all over again via the phone; what a fiasco; cancelled order and will never deal with this company again

Beware! Ordered washing machine via email Sunday, printed off invoice for £277.85. Credit card company rang Monday to query transaction (said picked up by fraud dept) and amount had been charged at £346.46. Queried this with Littlewoods Direct who now want copy of invoice printed off internet before refunding the extra £68.21. Would this be acceptable practice in a shop? Needless to say have cancelled order and asked for full refund of £346.46. Will shop elsewhere.

Nightmare! We ordered a machine on 3 day delivery, paying extra for this. We were given an expected delivery date and told that the courier would contact us re the time slot. Nothing heard from the courier. Delivery was expected today - contacted them towards the end of the day and was told that unfortunately the item was now not expected until next Tuesday and a delivery day of Thursday allocated on the web page - 9 working days later, 12 days post order. When asked why we were not advised earlier we were told that they were not aware of the problem until we had highlighted it! To add to this we are told that on delivery of the item WE should contact them to get the "additional charge for 3 day delivery" refunded!!!! Now trying to cancel the order and move on.

I agree with Lian,

I had problems too. Got all the way to the checkout then they wouldn't accept any of my cards.

Now when I try to re-order I can't get the discount off (with your code). Obviously, we have highlighted an error.

Anyway, no order for Littlewoods!

Nightmare! Firstly, I ordered online using the discount code, only to get a call from littlewoods saying their system had encountered a 'glitch' so they needed to take the order over the phone. We arranged the delivery date there and then (for 3 days later). When I checked my emails, I had one saying "not in stock - delivery up to 14 days" and the next was the order confirmation stating the price - NO DISCOUNT APPLIED! I phoned them up (20 minutes premium rate) only to find that they didn't have the latest information on their system so couldn't answer my questions. They asked me to call back tomorrow! What they could tell me is that they'd taken the payment (without discount) and couldn't alter that until I received the goods - WHAT IN 14 DAYS!!??? Five words......DONT BUY FROM LITTLEWOODS DIRECT!

I ordered my washing machine on express delivery (had to make 2 telephone calls as adviser did not process order correctly) - paying extra. Went a whole week without a washing machine only to be called the day before delivery to be told that this item was not available under express delivery and that I would need to re-order either the same appliance and wait a further 2 weeks or an alternative appliance and wait a further 3-5 days. Very poor service would not recommend.

At what point in 1980 was the Littlewoods Direct site built? Poor site but that out of the way, everything else seems to have gone well, (so far)
