Truly awful. My appliances were not delivered on the agreed date. They did not bother to tell me this so I spent half the day chasing them. We agreed a new delivery date and again the appliances did not turn up. On neither occasion did this company let me know what was (or was not happening). Instead their call centre staff made many promises to call me back but never bothered to do so. My appliances arrived on the third delivery date but one was badly damaged (they offered a 10% discount for the damage). In future I would pay more to buy from a local shop - taking days off work to wait for non existant delivery is not worth the hassle I had in dealing with this company.

ABSOLUTELY UNRELIABLE COMANY. I bought a fridge that was in stock. Delivery date was for the 31 October, a week after purchase. Two days before that I got a call saying it could not be delivered until 5 November. I got a call on 3 November saying that delivery would take at least four weeks. What a joke! Obviously I cancelled my order. I'd rather pay more money to Currys or Comet and get good service. I'll never ever use appliances online again and I will advise all my friends against it.

We order directly from the manufacturer to ensure our prices are competitive. We rely on their production lead times and I am very sorry to hear that your appliance was unusually unavailable for such a long time.

I can assure you when your order was first placed a delivery date from the manufacturer was given. This is a very popular model and did go back into production with Hotpoint.

Again I am very sorry to hear we have let you down on this occasion.

normally shop with the names I know when buying online (Dixons-Currys etc)but after following reviews on this site it seems they are all much of a much online these days so took a chance on Appliances Online. I am pleased that I did as I got prompt service, good communications and a the best priced Hotpoint ff200ep from a list of around 20 retailers.

absolutley appalling company. Waited in for 5 hours for a washer dryer that they said was in stock, rung to see where it was and was told it wasn't even in stock! No phone call or anything. I now have no washer as I gave my old one away the day before to make room for new one, lost a full days wages too. It has taken me 3 days to get any sort of answer out of them which is they might get some in in 2 weeks or might not. They won't even let me speak to a manager, been trying that for 3 days as well! RUBBISH, RUBBISH, RUBBISH, dont go near them I wish I hadn't!

I have looked into your comments and I can see there has been an IT error which has caused the problem with your delivery. I can assure you this has now been corrected and problems such as yours will not happen again.

Very happy with Appliances Online. Thought £29.99 was excessive for delivery of a washing machine as most provide service for £19.99, but the extra £10 is put to good use with a two man team and their refusal of the £5 tip I offered.

Extreamly disapointed...... I purchased a few items from Appliances Online things went well untill i noticed one of the items was damaged from transit I informed them only to be told they dont care becuse I signed to accept delivery and apparently I should have known it was damaged before the delivery men hastly drove away_) The item was still packaged upon removing the packaging I noticed the damage.


This is one of the emails they sent.........

As your order was placed on the internet you would have ticked our Terms and Conditions which state that we will not be able to take responsibility for any damage reported if the appliance has been signed for in good condition. It is your responsibility to ensure that the appliance is fully checked before you sign.

We will of course collect your appliance this will incur an uplift charge of £49.99 which is a true reflection of the cost of the transport. You will receive 40% of the price of the product back less the uplift charge. This refund reflects the cost to us to repair the machine to a perfect state as is the condition that you have signed for the appliance. In this case you will receive a refund of £36.81.

I am very sorry if this is not the response that you expect.

One of the items was still packaged when they left this was the item that was damaged natrualy I am taking legal action but i wouldnt advise you to touch them with a barge pole_)

Consdering what they propose item cost was £217 they want to charge me £49.99 to collect there damaged item then reduce 167.01 change into a £36.81 refund ouch! scam scam scam where has customer services got to these days....

I even tried dealing with there customer service another way by offering to purchase an addtional appliance consdering I already spent £800+ with these guys I felt i was doing all I could to resolve the problem they still wouldnt budge..

Thank you for your comments, which I do have to say I am very concerned about.

I can assure you the service you have received is not our normal high level of service.

Our delivery service does include the drivers unpacking the appliances, unless requested not to do so by the customer.

If you are happy to accept an appliance without inspecting it at point of delivery, you are agreeing to accept the appliance in the condition the appliance has been delivered in.

I do appreciate the upset and inconvenience this may have caused and for this I am truly sorry.

Impressed so far. After ordering with another online company and being told the washer was out of stock. Applainces online have checked their stock taken my order and given me a delivery day all this evening. Well done to you. The online chat facility is great - Fluent English speaking friendly lady (Sarah) dealt with my order. She seems very efficient. I await my order, hope I don't need to leave negative feed back on the delivery - I have faith it will be an A1 service. I recommend them.

very impressed.....the whole delivery system is done with texts and automated voice messages....then on the day of delivery the driver (real person) contacts you giving a delivery time.

Good communication by email. Got call night before delivery saying my washer dryer would be with me between 7am and 11am. Didnt belive it would be that early but was here at 7:15.

Placed order for a cooker which site said was in stock, within 3 mins had a phone call saying out of stock! Waited 12 days for delivery, they phoned when they said they would, text messages were frequent, delivery was 1 hour late, they took all packaging and old cooker, new cooker brill!!

came back from holiday and found our washer not working so needed one quickly. appliances online charge an extra £9.99 for next day delivery which I asked is a definate as I need it here next day they said yes definately so I ordered at 6pm they phoned up saying cant deliver tomorrow it will be wednesday, well what could I do I had to accept even though I did ask when ordering whether it would definately be delivered next day. The good bit is it did get delivered the next day but the wrong washer DAMM! I calledthem up and they said someone would be in touch in next 4 hours...... obviously no one got in touch so I called them, they said it would be next tuesday before they get one in so I am to say the least pissed off. I am now having to borrow a friends van and go to local currys to buy what I dont want but we have to have a washer. Hated the whole experience just hoping they credit me my money now.

totally dissapointed with this company on my first and last order.placed order for washing machine on sunday 10/08/08 because they offered best price and prompt deivery service.i expected a phone call on monday to confirm delivery for tuesday but did not recieve any call.i took the day off work on tuesday and mid day decided to call company and was told there would be no delivery till friday and i recieved no explanation.i decided to cancel my order and shop else were so asked for refund then they told me i would be refunded in three days time....what a bunch of muppets.wished i had paid another £50 and gone to currys.

No problems what so ever. Got text messages confirming order and delivery date. I was given a 4 hour time slot between 12pm-4pm but in the morning of delivery the driver called to say it would be more like 4pm, deffinately not til after 3pm, this was great as it meant I could go out between 12 and three and not waste my afternoon. He turned up at 3.55pm and took away all the packaging as he was meant to. Cheers
