Good points: this lays flat to surface, has easy cleaning, great child safety, and is economical. It heats quickly and holds heat so it can be switched off sooner.

Bad points: touch control can be quite difficult to operate.  It requires constant, heavy cleaning

Good Points
heats up fast and for things like oatmeal can be turned off as soon as the stuff boils as the plates retain enough heat to finish the job.

Bad Points
Not sure if surface of hobs will wear well.
