Hi,

Do most dishwashers use the mains hot water supply or do they heat themselves? Am looking at the hotpoint lft114 but don't know for certain if there is a hot fill connection behind original built in dishwasher, without getting it out first! It's next to the kitchen sink so I'm guessing it probably has...

Thanks

Hi there,
Most new washers do. The hotpoint lft114 is hot and cold fill as you will see if you download the manual from here: http://www.hotpoint.co.uk/hotpoint/_pdf/manuals/19506293803_UK-USA-AUS.pdf

A plumber would be able to set you up with a hot fill tap quickly and cheaply due to the position of the dishwasher so if you find that there is no hot outlet in place that will probably be your best option. If not I have added links to Hotpoint and Indesit below as you can contact them direct and ask if they have any cold fill only options.

Hope this helps,
WBD
